Mommy, Get Me a Shot Glass
We've been trying to get the little angel to stop peeing in her Pull-Ups at night in preparation for the twin bed I'm going to buy off Ebay as soon as my next BlogHer check comes. One thing people keep suggesting is to limit her liquids at night. Okay, I'm limiting. I've started giving in to her nightly requests for water with one ounce of water...in a shot glass.
They're heavy, high-class shot glasses, mind you - the thick glass kind you can bounce off a sidewalk without breaking, complete with the little white fill line. She nurses the first ounce, then on refill, opens her throat and throws it back like a pro.
My beloved was a little weirded out when I started this practice, but when I explained the night wetting connection, he got it. I think we were both freaked out last night when she called down the stairs, "Mommy, can you bring me my milk in a shot glass?"
I rock.
AND! It is the day of contests, apparently. Go check out the winner of YAM HAIKU 2007 (and a brand-spankin' new digital camera) at Surrender, Dorothy: Reviews.
