Build-A-Bear Gift Card Giveaway
Recently Average Jane, purveyer of all things good and social media queen, sent the little angel the new Build-A-Bear Tropical Hello Kitty, or as we like to call her around here, Aloha Kitty. She's got a great tan. See?
I admit, I really didn't get the whole Build-a-Bear craze for a long time. After my sister Blondie gave the little angel Pink Kitteh, I understood. Part of it is the heart inside the animal, and part of it is the fun of having a department store full of accessories for your new little friend. Pink Kitteh owns some clear Cinderella heels, a fairy costume, and a spring frock.
Shopping for your little friend is the same as shopping for your kid. I mean, seriously, check out the categories for SHOES. Athletic footwear? Check.
So anyway, Average Jane gave me a $25 Build-A-Bear gift card to give to one of YOU. $25 will buy your little friend an entire new outfit. Now - to win, post in the comments your favorite item from the Build-A-Bear store and why YOU MUST HAVE IT by next Friday. Winners will be selected by Pink Kitteh.
Editor's Note: Thanks to Contest for Moms for promoting this contest!

My favorite thing is "Happy Chick". Why? Because that's what I call my 5 year old daughter - Chick. It wasn't intentional - when she was a baby I just started saying "c'mon Chick, let's go" and it stuck from there.
She's going through a lot right now. My Darling/her Daddy is sick again. He goes in for more surgery next week. She's getting ready to start kindergarten in the fall. She's no longer the baby of the family and she's kinda stuck in the middle. Boo is 14 and we're dealing with teenage issues plus other serious issues with him. Mouse is the baby and gets a lot of attention because she's 22 months and into everything. Chick is a good girl but unfortunately kinda slips through the cracks at times with all that's going on. I'd love to be able to get her this stuffed Chick and buy the Glamour Chick outfit so we could have some just us time and I could remind her that no matter what, she is my Chick and I love her dearly.

I would love to give my daughter the medical kit and surgeon outfit (scrubs, etc) for her bunny. I was in and out of the hospital during my pregnancy with her brother, have been back and forth to the doctor since, he was hospitalized, I had one surgery and she doesn't know it yet but I'm going back for another surgery next month. :( She's been such a trooper through it all and has developed a fascination for being a doctor and has talked about how her bunny could be a doctor too and together they could make me and little brother better. She breaks my heart in a sweet, sweet way. She deserves so much extra for how patient she's been and we just can't afford it right now.

No question - pink glitter ballet flats and Pink Gem Fairy dress. Because I despise the girly-girly and my Monkee adores it almost daily. And it really IS all about her.
Plus, she only wears dresses or skirts to school now, per her choice (I insist on shorts underneath) and she won't hear of wearing sneakers (even cute ones). And Hippity-Hop (her bunny) only has pajamas to wear. Don't all bunnies need dressup clothes?

i like the pawsome panda and it would have to have the martal arts out fit. my daughter has been talking carzy about the new kung fu panda movie ever since the commercials started airing. she got to see it yesterday now she wants a panda. so that would be perfect.

The Hula Tropical Hello Kitty is awesome.
Yet, my sweetie will probably want to choose the Magnificant Monkey with a floral belted or strappy dress.

My son is getting into sports now and loves dinosaurs, so I have to say that the Triceratops playing basketball would be atop our list. Thanks!

Amelia isn't quite into stuffed animals yet - but she loves to read books and she seems to be showing a preference for Teddy Bears (taking after me). So I want to get her the Read Teddy so I am also supporting a good cause.
I was hoping to find some kind of lady bug since she is my little Amelia-bug but maybe another season they'll have one.

We have Champ. He was a baby present for my son who had a bit of a rough time for the first 3 months (and so did his mama!) He's too cute with his patches that I don't think he needs any clothes, but he might like some company in the form of Brown Sugar Puppy!

We have a couple of favorite animals from Build-A-Bear. My middle son has his 2 favorites named Bear-Bear and Woof-Woof! Yes, I know he is a descriptive kid and all. I'm sure you can guess what animals they are. As far as my oldest, she has Annie the purple bear. Annie likes to wear her purple shirt and undies at night.
The problem is these animals don't have much more than underwear and a pj shirt. What these animals need are daywear. Chicago Cubs shirts, UI Hawkeye shirts and of course a summer tank top for Annie!
Thanks!

I love the Flower Power Pink Cuddles Teddy Bear. My daughter is going to her first slumber party in 2 weeks and maybe this will help her get through the night (...or maybe I need it to get through the night).

I HAVE TO HAVE the Border Collie for my daughter. She just turned 1 in April and loves animals. Her first word was duck, followed by kitty and then dog. (mama and dada followed after that :) ) Anyway, her grandparents have a border collie and she loves him! Unfortunately, they live 4 hours away. If she could have a little border collie of her own she would be in heaven! Thanks!

Every time I tell my daughter we need to go out and run errands the question is always the same: "Can we go to Build-a-Bear?!" When she saw Hello Kitty on their website, the question of the day became "Mom, do you think we might be able to go to Build-a-Bear before they run out of Hello Kitty?!"
My daughter loves Build-a-Bear, and so do I! Please enter me! Thanks!
